We are pleased to announce that Kris Kaull, B.S., NRP, CCEMT-P, FP-C, is our keynote speaker for the 2019 conference!

Kris Kaull has driven innovation and positive change in EMS for 25 years. He combined his love for EMS and technology, developing new information sources and platforms that improve patient care and EMS operations.

Today, Kaull is regarded as a leading expert in EMS, healthcare, online media and technology. After beginning his career as a firefighter and EMT, Kaull started paramedic.com and cofounded EMS1.com, which today is the largest online paramedic resource. Kaull then transitioned to his current role as Chief Marketing Officer at Pulsara, a healthcare and EMS tech start-up.

Heavy-Equipment Extrication (Hands On Training)

We are offering a 1 day extrication class on Sunday, March 3rd courtesy of DPSST.

This course is designed for experienced rescuers in vehicle extrication to gain new experiences with heavy equipment. This hands-on course will include 1 full day of off-site training to cover the topics of:

  • Equipment stabilization
  • Equipment lifting techniques
  • Heavy equipment cutting and disassembly and,
  • High equipment victim extrication

The DPSST cadre will provide orientation and instruction on specialty equipment through hands-on practice on heavy equipment. Instructors will expand on the current knowledge base of class participants. The class is concluded by scenarios to provide an opportunity to put their newly obtained skills to use.

Student Requirements:

  • Previous completion of a Vehicle Extrication course (Mandatory)
  • Full PPE (Extrication turnouts, gloves, helmet, and eye protection)
  • Ready to train!
